KDK's 110th Anniversary Commemoration
On October 7, 2019, Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the independently deployed KDK brand at its head office in the Kasugai factory.
The KDK brand was launched in 1909 by Kawakita Denki Kigyosha, which is the predecessor of Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd. and is mainly engaged in the sale of IAQ products, including electric fans, ventilating fans, and ceiling fans, in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
This commemoration ceremony has been held every five years since 1969 when the brand marked its 60th anniversary, with the aim of expressing gratitude in person to distributors from different countries for their daily business contributions, as well as sharing the corporate strategy for the next five years.
For the current 110th anniversary commemoration, the company invited 31 individuals from 23 distributors and confirmed its strategy and measures to address significant changes in the global situation and the surrounding environment under the new slogan "Professional in IAQ."
Following the ceremony, attendees toured the Ventilations & Environment Showroom, where KDK products are displayed, Reboot Space, which opened on August 5 to exhibit space solutions, and IAQ Labo, where visitors can have a firsthand experience of indoor air quality, which varies according to temperature, humidity, air cleanliness, and airflow. The company succeeded in getting everyone present on the same page through the ceremony, product exhibition, and product experience and aims to achieve expansion and growth alongside the Panasonic brand toward the 115th anniversary as an IAQ-specialized brand.
